Oh, I get it. You just don't like who did the rescuing, that's all. Wishin' I was your boyfriend what's-his-height. Oh wait, he's run off.

Spike ,'Potential'

Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Always Anti-fascist!

That's true, in my Annis Horribilis, nobody actually died. Everything else happened though, and I do believe there is a part of my heart that won't be the same, but still not death.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

David, that's my kind of mix.

What a dreadful year, Cindy.

Punishingly Intricate

Ed's Redeeming Qualities

my ex-boyfriend's bandmate and best friend's band.

That seems like a great mix, by the way, one that would reduce me to a gibbering mess. In a good way.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Yes! That's it! So the deal is, I have the tape, and I love it, but... I want it on my iPod! So would it be possible to get a CD of it? I'd offer to trade, but... what music could I have that you don't?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Yeah, it's definitely one of my most affecting and pretty mixes. Though Blackwater Side provokes more actual tears.

Ooh, Hec, want. I'm sure I have a birthday coming up sometime in the next year or so.

Duly noted. Though I'll probably be remaking it (as much as I can) on CD.

David, that's my kind of mix.

Indeed. I've still got a Cosmic Cowboys mix to send to you. It's sitting in my desk, NotMailing itself. Rigth next to Teppy's Elvis Costello video.

I can't even.

Oyster Band!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So would it be possible to get a CD of it?

Heh. I can recreate most of it on CD, and had planned to. I'll send a copy when I get it together.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Rigth next to Teppy's Elvis Costello video.

And the Teen Titans and JLU from 2 weeks ago, I hope?

Ed's Redeeming Qualities

my ex-boyfriend's bandmate and best friend's band.

No way! I adore "Lawn Dart." Beyond all reason.

Uh, JLU rolled off the TiVo. But I still have Teen Titans.

I strongly recommend the June Tabor & Oyster Band collaboration Freedom and Rain for anybody who likes that kind of music. She covers Richard Thompson, The Pogues, Billy Bragg and Lou Reed on that record. I think her cool, majestic reading of "All Tomorrow's Parties" is the best I've ever heard. (And it's been covered - and well - many times.)

Ooh, duly noted. I do like June Tabor too, just got overwhelmed with the need to say Oyster Band! above.
