I am bummed that no one posted the cupcake recipe. It sounded so good.
I was told to buy the CI. Of course, I don't know what issue it was in, and have no money for it. I had to cancel my frigging newspaper, so I'm not really in the position to buy some foodie magazine for a cupcake recipe.
ION, I have been saying "shall" a lot lately, in a (to me) completely organic and normal feeling way. Is this because I have married a Brit?
Yes. Soon you will pronounce things like 'banana', 'herbs', and 'vitamins' in ways that seem perfectly normal to you, but will confuse other Americans.
I am going somewhere on the company dime tomorrow. Atlanta. And it's supposed to be 68 there. It's so sad that I can now think of 68 as warm. Darn East coast weather.
Me, too. And having lived in the South for many years, I also reserve the right to make fun of people in the North who complain when the temp reaches 90 in the summer.
In the South, things are set up to deal with high temps in the summer.
Here, that's not the case. It's a lot easier to deal with heat when a: you're used to it; and b: you can go from air conditioned building to air conditioned building. AC is a rare thing in Seattle. We've had record warms the last few years, and we're really not set up for it. Things are supposed to be mellow.
(Also, Seattle has legit reasons for being crippled on the rare occasions when we get snow. We have few plows, we're pretty hilly, and we have a lot of bridges and overpasses that ice over pretty rapidly if there's a cold snap. Oh, and friends who've moved to colder places from here assure me that the people in cold places drive just as poorly in the snow as we do, and that the main difference is that the roads get cleared faster. So there.)

I work for Brits, and I've been completely converted to ending phone conversations with "Cheers!"

Cindy, I was just being silly. I heartily apologize for missing the context, as I thought you were being silly as well.
I shall embroider it on a sampler for you.
Yay! It's my mantra of the day.
Hey, Kat!! Actually, tomorrow is our anniversary. And just to continue the doppel-ness of it all, we'll be apart because I'll be on a work trip down to Atlanta. How's tricks with you?

I was being silly too, before. Now I am being silly and the side of bitter that only being CUPCAKELESS can bring. I'm sorry that didn't carry over so well. It's probably because of my extremely low blood sugar on account of my CUPCAKELESS state.
Pretty good. I my hair is pinked back up. I'm trying to think of why someone should fund me to study Chaucer and I'm watching Starting Over which has a woman who was a gymnast (elite level) from childhood on. Which I can relate to in an uncomfortable way.
