I read 565 papers over the course of the year. I've ascertained that I screwed up (as in, something in the format make the program barf but they are done, so easy fix) 21. 36 are impossible because people can't adhere to a very simple standard of paper writing. And there are 32 extra were never sent to me.
And I just had to track down every stinking one of those 89 to figure that out. I hate high visibility projects that are mostly grunge work. I'm pretty damned happy with a 4% error rate (that is correctable) when it is 4% of sixfuckinghundred academic journal papers mostly written by people who can't.

With mac you can get educational and institutional discounts. When buying new stuff, I always go through my dad who has several arrangements with them.
