Are you ready to be strong?

OMG. I think I hate her.

lemon poundcake

ita, have I told you how glorious you are? Especially your hair. I like how it glistens when you're kravving someone in the head.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Rio, do you think that we have scared Plei away with our love? I notice that she has not had much to say. I think she ran away, and is comforting herself with ALL of the cupcakes.

I'm watching Wonderfalls. We are down to ten cupcakes.

I wonder what sort of buttercream she's having? I made the chocolate, and it was nummy.

Vanilla. Which goes pretty well with the chocolate.

These are very moist cupcakes, and not overly sweet. I think I'm in love with them.

ita, you are totally worth buttering up, and I distinctly remember wanting some of your cupcakes last week. Also, I believe that it is self-evident that you are awesome. I mean, nobody else wears glitter and a leather coat with nearly as much panache as you do. Or drinks English Breakfast Tea so stylishly. And no one can pull off such cool hair like you. Which is not to say how impressive you are, when it comes to martial arts. Or what a great teacher you are. Or how funny! You're very funny. And smart.

OMG. I think I hate her.

I know! I feel so used.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Vanilla. Which goes pretty well with the chocolate.

I wanted to make the vanilla, and forgot I had a bean lying around.

And, yay! I'm out of vanilla extract, which means now I can buy the cheap stuff. I had to use Grand Marnier in the pound cake, which is yellow and shiny like my hair.

I have beans, but they're so $$$ right now that I ended up using my vanilla paste instead.

How was the pound cake?

ita is so cool, that she has funky employees of the Coffee Bean tripping over themselves to serve her lemon bars, just for that chance to be near her greatness for just a moment.

And the feeling is totally understandable.

Okay, Ali, you have me spitting on my screen. I will raise a lustrous slice of pound cake to you.

How was the pound cake?

I will report tomorrow. I had to bake and krav, so no nummies until tomorrow.

I ended up using my vanilla paste instead.

I have no vanilla paste. I feel I should have vanilla paste.

Oh! I doublechecked my main Ralph's, and they only have three sorts of cocoa, definitely none Dutch. Time to begin the same escalating spiral of fanciness of supermarkets until I find the right baking goods. Next try, Bristol Farms.
