"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Well, it's not as if I thought there was any danger of looking up and seeing W. wave down at me.

I'm getting the pig!

I'm at work, but most of what I've done so far is to accept a job offer in Palo Alto.

Yay! So happy for you!!

Wow. I just had the most unpleasant phone conversation I've experienced in recent memory. The guy had the people skills of a cold enema.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Congrats, Lee! Good luck with the moving and whatnot!

Have successfully seen my parents off. Now I guess I'll do homework? Or maybe lie on the sofa and watch tv. We'll see.

What is even happening?

Then I noticed it was shining in every window on all sides of the building, and wondered if I'd be getting the day off work after all due to the Rapture.
Oh, I hope not. I missed it. I knew I should have signed up for the email notification.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Thanks for the birthday wishes! I have so far celebrated by, er, sleeping in and watching TV; celebrating will be done later in the week.

But I have 365 days ahead of me of making the "no, I'm twenty-nine for real" joke...

The evil is this way?

Wow. I just had the most unpleasant phone conversation I've experienced in recent memory. The guy had the people skills of a cold enema.

Why were you talking with my boss?

Yeah, that's weirdly annoying. I went out for dinner on my 29th, and the waiter was all, "Twenty-nine, OK! Wink-wink." I was like, "No, really...."

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

We need the transcript shrift. I had one the other day with a collection agency explaining that we would not be giving them any money, and certainly not the CC # unless they could give me an account number and the name of the original creditor plus the physical address of the collection agency. Guy acted like he had no idea why I would ask such things of him. Didn't I know I was just supposed to hand over money to anyone who called us up and asked?

I keep forgetting. If you watch American Idol, a friend of a friend is on tonight, and from the TWoP recap sounds decent. So if you are in to that sort of thing, vote for Judd.
