I don't know about you guys, but I've had it with super-strong little women who aren't me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Someone needs to stitch together the Jack & Bobby talking heads storyline together. Did we know (via talking or titles) what old!Courtney revealed today? I'm also sad at the idea that Will Tippen isn't getting any more ass, since he bonded with the kids too well.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I don't know, ita. I feel like someone mentioned Courtney's almost leaving him before. And I think Grace's death has been mentioned before. Maybe. Who knows. The writers don't seem to be bothering much with the future storyline anyway. I'm finding them more and more tedious. Who the hell talks like that in interviews?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

> What you have are nationally conscious people, people who say, "my fatherland, right or wrong." My fatherland, nothing more, am I right?

Yes, but historically I think only Nazi Germany and WWII era Japan called their countries "fatherland" - most countries call it "motherland." It's a whole fascist daddy thang.

Yet another reason why "Homeland Security" skeezes my shit.

Did the title for Courtney always read Former First Lady? Do we know if McAllister is in power at the time of the flash-forwards?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

What you have are nationally conscious people, people who say, "my fatherland, right or wrong." My fatherland, nothing more, am I right?

Plus I think it's possible to be nationalistic without exterminating twelve million people and starting a world war.

Yes, but historically I think only Nazi Germany and WWII era Japan called their countries "fatherland"

I don't think that makes any difference. But it reminds me how the captian of the Bismark said that the ship was too big and powerful to be a "she" - he insisted that the ship be refered to as masculine.

Are you ready to be strong?

I take those "Paris is a racist" stories with a lot of salt, personally. They don't ring entirely true.

That is so sad about Hunter S. Thompson. Jesus.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Rio! Hi how are you?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I'm more than mildly shaken by the HST news.

I'm also too white to really appreciate desi comedy, but I did think of P-C during tonight's viewing.

I don't know if there's anything wrong with the -cones themselves, except for the standard everything'll-kill-ya sort of thing.

In my case, even with shampoo, they build up, and while they make my hair feel great for about 12 hours, after those 12 hours are up, my hair feels dry and ghastly. If I'm using a non-'cone product, my hair appears to stay slightly more stable.

Swouncing

Poking head in the three minutes with a working connection (the network here is acting crazy for a few days now), while it's still the 20th in some places to wish belated birthday wishes to Jon.

I won't tempt my luck, the way I did yesterday (I wanted to post "Happy birthday!" for Jon when it was he 20th, so I waited, and then, well, the network decided to die on me), so I'll post right now that the 21st is Katie M's birthday, and lots of wishes for her, for a great day and a wonderful year!

[Edit: yay! It posted! Now why couldn't it do it yesterday, on time, like I wanted it to?]

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Happy Birthday Jon!
