Tom used to be on my list, but somehow I saw and enjoyed
Minority Report,
and
Collateral
is waiting to be viewed (but that's me trying to work out if there's a need for Foxx-love, mostly). Michael Douglas is DEFINITELY on my list, and Mel has been for a while, although
Lethal Weapon
is still a favourite movie.
I like Ben Affleck. Totally unsure why.
Kevin Kostner?
No, I take that back -
Waterworld
and
The Postman
were both pretty funny....
Actors that I will avoid movies because of:
I only have 2, but they're inviolable -- Jim Carrey and Mel Gibson.
Michael Douglas
The thing is, give the guy a right role, and the dude can act. Much as I hate the whole Fatal Attraction/Disclosure/Basic Instinct skeevy Michael Douglas, I have to say I kind of adored him in Wonder Boys.
My Mel Gilbson dislike is pretty thorough though.
I never got the impression that The Rock buys his own press. He's seemed such a warm and mellow and modest guy in interview, and perfectly willing to shed his WWF persona at the drop of a hat to mock himself.
He is adorable in interviews- very modest and sweet.
Sits in ita's Rock Love corner.
Kevin Kostner?
No, I take that back - Waterworld and The Postman were both pretty funny....
May I direct your attention towards 'Robin Hood'? Who's only saving grace may have been Alan Rickman but even then. eugh
Kevin Kostner makes me sad, because I loved his character in Silverado.
I enjoy The Rock, and in the one or two interviews I've seen, he seemed like a decent, normal sort who was unfull of himself.
We had a sudden, fierce snow flurry that stuck to the ground a couple of hours ago. Now it's all gone. Weird.
Just read the Playboy interview and he's very funny although less self-effacing there than in live interviews I've seen.
There are always exceptions
Wonder Boys, Dogma come to mind. I do tend to hate Mel Gibson and Kevin Costner, but the early stuff endears them to me.
Hey. Matt's hatred of John Travolta neatly describes my hatred of Alan Cumming. Dude too much in love with his own self, and needs to quit preening when other people are looking at him. (Whereas, I think the Rock can take off his 'tude when the situation calls for it.)
Michael Douglas just scares me.
I have never been to an ER for my own self. Although I have suffered spectacular calamity, as in the case of falling down the stairs while trying to kick my idiot brother in the butt, it has not yet been bad enough to require the attention of Hot Doctor Luka. Dammit.
I have attended hospitalizations -- Brother was in a spectacular car accident, the source of the
third
set of stitches in his
face
-- but I was 2 states away during and immediately after, and did not get to see him till he had his own room in Pediatrics. (He reports reaching up and touching the under-layer of skin on his forehead, thinking that he was touching his own brains, and flipping out; but by the time the ambulance people got there, he was joking and chatting to diffuse other people's tension.)
