Lorne: Take care of yourself and ah, make sure fluffy is getting enough love. Gunn: Did he have anything? Fred: No. And who's fluffy? Are you fluffy? Gunn: He called me fluffy? Fred: He said make sure…wait. You don't think he was referring to anything of mine that's fluffy, do you? Because that would just be inappropriate.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Kat, this might belong in the Life Serial thread

There's a Life Serial thread?

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Hi all--drive-by post, as we're being charged by the minute here! We're happily in Long Beach, and the reading in Redondo last night was FABULOUS! We're bouncing around a lot, but we'll be reading in Orange tonight, at the Ugly Mug, and other places later in the week. Would love to see some LAistas while we're out here!

Art Crawl!!!

I didn't hear about the train derailment 'til I went to the comic shop at lunch. The comic book guy was watching Day 1 Hour 1 of 24. He said that being shallow hearing about the train derailment made him want to watch 24.

What is even happening?

24 (this season)

sumi, I thought of this season of 24, almost immediately, when I read that story.

God, I just read about the train derailment. That's so awful.

And suddenly I'm thinking of Unbreakable.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That train thing makes me incredibly angry.

He hasn't lost a lick of his Boston accent, and I felt weirdly soothed that he was the boss for this reason alone, which is not based in any rational thought.

Honestly, there's a professor at my school who teaches stuff completely outside my areas of interest, but I want to take a class with him for the same reason. Best accent evah!

AND, I was just completely rewarded for ridiculousness. I was semi-berating myself for having lunch in a restaurant, especially considering I haven't gotten a paycheck from my job since December (must check on that), but when I got home, my loan money was in! YAY MONEY!

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Do I really need an ipod (or its equivalent)?

ETA: Yay for loan bucks, Jesse!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Do I really need an ipod (or its equivalent)?

Yes. It's the only thing that separates us from the animals.

meow. Or snarl or something.

Also, in a note to the universe in general, I cannot make 562 =605. If you want to tell me what the missing 43 are, I can help you. But no amount of "are you sure?" is going to make 562=605.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I have no iPod. Too rich for my blood.
