The boy who was my boyfriend in my senior year of high school, sent me carnations through the school, every Valentine's Day, throughout. Until we were going together, he always signed the tags with "Cyrano" or "Jim Morrison" or something like that. I'd completely forgotten about that. I always knew it was him, but I don't think I let on, until we were going together. I can't remember. It was fun to get that memory back.

I'd forgotten all about in-school flowers and how completely awful they were.
I think that this has left residual V-Day dislike for me. You spend years with some little hope that something unexpected and extraordinary will happen and it never does.
No one got flowers in my HS.
I think I've only gotten flowers once in my life. A friend sent me some to my work place on my birthday. Except for the prom flower thingie, I've only given someone flowers once that I can remember.
ION, I'm wearing my new shoes!
I'm wearing my new shoes!
ATFG?
NEW SHOES!!
There is a drip outside my window that is landing on my A/C unit. It is not keeping perfect time, but it is akin to torture. I think I will need to put on some music for the rest of the day.
Wow, I've pissed away 2 hours. I need to make a list and do some work.
Yay new shoes!
I'm not sure I understand, but I'm also not sure I want to raise all the memories - in-school flowers? What are those? Please don't answer unless you have a lovely "hit my friends' head with them" sort of answer or if it brings happy memories, liek Cindy's.

Heh. Not Valentine's, but at my friend's wedding his new MIL made chocolate roses that were on long plastic stems. Ouch. I think I still have lumps on my head. The bride's family was I think a little shocked at how we went at each other with them. They're a much more straight-laced lot.
We had in school flowers, candy, etc for various holidays, sold by student council. called "grams". As in, "Valentine-grams, Halloween-grams". They were $1 and you got a carnation. They were supposed to be super-secret!.
I had forgotten all about those!
