Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I LIKE having a car. I can still pretend I can get in it and head west and keep going and just run away (yes, I'm having work issues. Fucked up. Self medicating now.)

I can do that in a bus. Or whatever.

OH! And car stuff does impact living costs -- when a friend of mine moved from NYC to MI, we realized that her base living expenses would pretty much stay the same, since she was going to buy a new car.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

Having a car sucks. Insurance people are making a killing off of it. Also, Bush, off the petroleum thing.

Yeah, even with the car paid off, my insurance is roughly $1300-$1500 a year. Which is actually a big issue here right now, because if I lived 100 yds away, in the county? It'd be closer to 50% less. Or more.

Then there is the gas...I drive very little and that runs me $15-$20 every 2 weeks. And then repairsn & oil. Which, for me, probably average $150-$200 a year since I bought this 3 year old car 5 years ago.

edit: figure out. That's probably $2k/ year on a car that's paid off. Repairs are mostly maintenance stuff, not catastrophic.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Krav is all that, Gus. Never forget.

Suddenly I want to name a daughter Cynthia Rose. I don't even like the name Cynthia. But Cynthia Rose seems very pretty.

I have a medical-ish question. Sometimes the side of my neck hurts, pretty much the trapezius, and the ear on that side is kinda blocked, maybe even the nostril. And a headache comes soon after.

I'm good with the muscle tension->headache thing. Whyfor my ear and nose get involved? That makes no sense.

Ouch!

sarameg, this is like 4x what I am paying.

You never slaughtered a family of nine while wheeling around doing heroin with a Mad Dog bottle in your lap, did you?

Cuz if you did, we still lurves you, and we can get you a deal on insurance.

Trust my rage

Suddenly I want to name a daughter Cynthia Rose.

I've been thinking about Rose for our baby's middle name. Either that or Grace. Of course, the first name is still completely a mystery to me.

I think we pay $200 a month, but that's for two people and two cars. I hate insurance, though. I'm fact, I'm very likely selling one of the cars this weekend to get rid of its payment and insurance.

Jesse is evil. Furiously funny, with the links, but evil.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Suddenly I want to name a daughter Cynthia Rose.

And why on earth wouldn't you want to name your daughter after someone who always stood at the back of the line with a smile beneath her nose?
