That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

10 days sick leave, which is pretty standard

Really? We get 5.

Still, though, I see "menstrual leave" as just another way to excuse women from getting promotions. She can't work 2 days per month? Well, then she's not available as we need her for that position. Give it to Bob.

Wow, that's crappy. We get 18 sick days, and 15 vacation days starting out. (I'm up to 20 vacation days now.) And there's short term and long term disability benefits if you are really sick.

Yeah, but you live in - wait for it - Soviet Canuckistan. Actually I get a lot of sick leave too.

Sue, I saw a woman wearing leg warmers yesterday (with FLIP FLOPS) and thought of you!

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

We get 10 sick days per year and vacation is accrued. We get up to 10 days vacation but you have to earn it first. I get 6.25 hours of vacation per month, if you want it broken down.

Wow. We get 5 sick days, 2 personal days. Start out with 10 vacation days. Move up to 15 after 5 years. Move up to 20 days after 7 years.

We have a pro-rated short & long term disability based on how long you've been with the company.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

So sorry about Kuma and Bear, Kat. It's no fun to live in a war zone. A dog run sounds like a great idea.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

I think I've got 17 days of PTO, to be used either for sick or vacation time. If I'm sick I need to find someone to cover for me, though, so usually I just have to work through it. So I'm planning to use the bulk for vacation.

Yeah. I also work for the Gubbermint and am unionized, so it's probably a more generous plans than most. (But still not as good as working for the Feds.)

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Huh. We get 20 days (160 hours) of PTO, and move up to 25 after 5 yrs., and 30 days after 10.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Re OC: I'd like to think that legal privilege was more important than spousal. I do not want my lawyer talking about my case at home with her husband. I know it's naive, but it doesn't seem fair. Would that husband be prevented from ratting me out? However, as it applies to the OC, it's a damned good idea to not get the personal and the work mixed up. Mr. Cohen needed to tell Mrs. Cohen. Rebecca's lawyer needed to keep his mouth shut.
