Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think I'm putting my finger on why I love makeover shows (are you listening, jesse?). I think it's the idea that someone sees potential and has a totally different perception of a person than that person has of himself or herself. It's the idea that someone can do finite things to bring that potential to surface in a way that is totally different than the way you see yourself. It's cool.

YES! You're so smart.

And on the same-sex kissy face I think that alongside everything else, there's a larger (at least perceived) group of straight men who will watch the show just for the kissy-kissy than the group of straight woman who will turn the channel for guys making out.

I thought that too, Dana. Then I saw his collection at Fashion Week. I don't know if he just didn't care because he knew he hadn't won or what but OMIGOD.

If I only had a brain...

Is that a good OMIGOD or a bad OMIGOD?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

That's not a good OMIGOD I take it.

I think a large part of it is that man kissing man always equals gay, while woman kissing woman may or may not equal gay. Sort of like same sex dancing.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have this outfit fixated in my brain. It's not one I want to wear, but it's just there. Could someone wear it for me, so it'll leave my head? What you'll need:

  • White cotton wrap shirt with French cuffs
  • wide-legged summer wool pants in dark grey -- single pleat, long, with break
  • pointy-toed stilettoes

Accessorise as you please.

Thanks!

It's a weight of wool, beth. You can wear them any time of year you want.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

ita, oddly enough that is exactly what I am wearing right this very moment.

Problem solved.
