"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

What I want to know is, isn't the audience of The O.C. predominantly female? (That's my impression anyway.) 'Cause Marissa and Alex kissing isn't exactly going to be titillating most of such a demographic.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

His Royal Highness Prince Charles Philip Arthur George, Prince of Wales, KG, KT, GCB, OM, AK, QSO, PC, ADC, Earl of Chester, Duke of Cornwall, Duke of Rothesay, Earl of Carrick, Baron of Renfrew, Lord of the Isles and Prince and Great Steward of Scotland.

DH and I think Camilla should be the Great Stewardess of Scotland.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

DH and I think Camilla should be the Great Stewardess of Scotland.

Or Stewardtrix.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I don't wank the wank.

But do you tank the tank?

No, that doesn't quite work, does it...

If I only had a brain...

I read a great essay years back pointing out that the Charles/Camilla story is actually much more romantic than the fabled Charles/Diana story.

Guy meets woman, likes her, dithers for too long and she marries somebody else. They remain close friends. Guy finally marries young, beautiful woman; his closest friend remains a middle-aged, frankly homely woman. When the first marriage ends, he and his longtime companion are reunited.

If you made Charles into an executive and Diana into a trophy wife, it'd be a paperback novel.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It's from last week's O.C., Lee. Seth says it in the teaser.

Speaking of humping fish muffins, a little bird sent me Advanced Sushi.

hip deep in pie

I wonder if this Charles/Camilla wedding is because of inquiries into who is paying for Camilla's care since she is his live-in. [link]

The report on Charles and Camilla this morning on the CBC had one royal watcher saying that in order for Camilla to be the Duchess of Cornwall, there would have to be legislation allowing it, not only in Britain, but all the commonwealth territories, and in Canada, in all provinicial legislatures. I don't know if they will be held to that, however.

Ah. I haven't seen that yet, since Tivo didn't catch it. Debetesse sent me a tape, but I haven't been able to watch it yet.

Did you see the list of where to get the special stuff? I think we need to do some exploring. Maybe Kiriko next?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

What I want to know is, isn't the audience of The O.C. predominantly female?

I know a lot of men who watch it, but I strongly suspect most of them are the sort who jumped at the chance to purchase the Chris Carmack cover issue of Out this month...
