Identical doesn't seem possible since they weren't in the same uterus. But then I've never had a reason to find out when/where the egg split happens for idents, so I guess I could be wrong.
It was my understanding that the split can happen at a number of different points, including before implantation in the uterus. And that the whole process of being pregnant releases hormones that would cause the woman to stop ovulating, so it would be really weird for her to get pregnant again, despite the second uterus, because of all the hormonal changes in her body.
But I am so not an expert, so someone else is free to be pedantic.
I guess we need pictures.
I really want to read the request for this.
I am fully prepared to go to MI and poison the coffee of specific bosses/co-workers, ijs.
No problem. Hey Alibelle, what kind of degree are you getting again?
Y'know, I can FIND you pictures of assorted uterine malformations if you really want them. They're all over the freakin' web.
The BBC report on it: [link] says one of them was, as thought, premature.

Swing up through Grand Rapids, too, if you get a chance...
Yo, fellow stompies what might be in Natter: any of you started the new Bitches thread, or should I go ahead?
