Oooh and Ma Petite Shoe seems to be having a 50% off sale according to the website. I think I may have to go support local merchants one day after work this week....

What the hell, I haven't bought new shoes in a couplethree years.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Psychiatrists are now measuring evil.

I read that this morning, and it looked like a pile of hooey to me. "Wilful Cruelty Scale", okay (except you would have to justify what items were wilfully cruel and what were irresistible impulses related to the pathology). "Checklist of Antisocial Features," fine. But evil? Please explain to me the scientific/quantifiable nature of evil.

It's exactly the reason why most formal diagnostic procedures no longer use the word "psychopath" -- the word has diffused its meaning in general culture, and a strict definition cannot be agreed upon.

And by asking about asking, the liar's answer would be the truth too.

By gum, I've seen this Star Trek episode!

Killer Shrimp!! there's one kinda near you, right?

I still need to try to get to Ma Petite Shoe; I hear Hampden is getting a Barnes and Noble. Is this a beginning to the end?

I too like the second pair more too, the mary janes. The wedge heel is adorable except for the wedge heel part.

Sure it is. I still haven't seen last week's House, and I'm getting increasingly grumpy about it.

Mmm. Hugh Laurie. Rowrr.

Isn't that inevitable?

Well, it's just that this picture is a whole new category of godawful. Due to poor camera quality and the way the light is hitting me, I look like a ridgeless Cardassian. I look like a They Might Be Giants song. I'm wearing a prosthetic forehead on my real head!

WHAT.

Punishingly Intricate

lisah, are they comfortable?

They are. I wore them all night Friday at our benefit concert and I didn't sit down all night. I took them off for a while on stage but then put them back on and jumped around a lot. My feet were a little sore by the end of the night but not too bad.

Oooh and Ma Petite Shoe seems to be having a 50% off sale according to the website.

They are! I got Ponies I've been wanting badly for months this weekend.

these ones

kat, I can call and see if ma petite has either of those in your size and ship 'em to you if they do. I mean 1/2 off! They tend to sell out of the normal looking Fleuvog's really fast though.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I think tonight's House episode was directed by a good friend of ours, although his might air next week, not sure. Check the credits to see if it was Keith Gordon, and if so, that's him! He spoke very highly of Hugh "Gimme Some of That" Laurie, by the way.

That's what the rumor tells me. Not on The Avenue, but about a mile or so away (still counts as Hampden, right?) and apparently where Giant is a Target is looking to go in.

Though this is all coming from bits and pieces from Rachel's blog, so I might not have it entirely accurate.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Shrift -- I had my Costco card replaced while I had the black eye. Any rightminded person would have me institutionalised (for my own good) based on the photo. Reduced DPI is doing me no favours. So I make sure to give an extra don't-even look to the cashier when she checks it.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Did none of you people see Labyrinth?

We should chose the door that leads to the Goblin King? Or dance with a muppet?

Both might be fun, actually. But the "which door" question was asked in that, too, and whoserface figured it out the same way it was explained here: that the truthteller would tell the truth, and the liar would lie about telling the truth, and both would indicate the same door. The question was familiar to me because I remembered it from the movie.

Also, "psychopathy." Is it pronounced "SYcoPATHy" or "syCOPathy?"
