Which leads to my first question: what does the good stuff taste like? If a lady who was accustomed to drinking nothing stronger than wine were given some of her cousin's private stash from the family distillery (N.B.--must look up whether the family distillery would've been legal at this point in history), how would she react to it? And what would be an appropriate quantity of whiskey to offer someone unused to it if your goal was to help her bear up under severe stress (mostly emotional), but emphatically not to make her obviously drunk?
Depends on the whisky, but usually it's a nice sort of smokey woody taste, with a strong bite and a hint of sweetness. To someone unused to it, there is a strong chance it would taste appalling.
I expect a single small glass of the stuff would be enough.
Unless you are ita and making horse fellatio insinuations. And then weak is bad.
No, definitlely
not
the bad kind of weak. Definitely.
It's totally sad making. So sadmaking that I'm so overwhelmed by the sadness that I can only sit here, rock back and forth and say, "knuffle bunny".
This might convince Lori to go get you cake, since the song didn't work.
What Stiffy is. Lee (and, apparently Cass) get your head out of ita's brain.
Sadly, I knew what it was. My brain still went to the dirty places.
And why do I know what Stiffy is? I can't even iron.
Thanks, Plei! That gives me enough to give the scene some sensory oomph. (Never a natural strong point with me, since I'm dialogue and introspection's bitch, but I'm trying to get better!)
Smurf sex...
This day is just getting more and more disturbing.
And why do I know what Stiffy is? I can't even iron.
Actually not really related to ironing.
For a party one year, someone asked me to make a set of favors, so I actually used fabric to create fortune cookies. Stiffy is used to make fabric retain shape pretty much permanently. It's not really starch in that it can't be undone with just a quick wash.
so I actually used fabric to create fortune cookies.
I have just got to learn how to be creative. As long as I don't try to learn anything involving an iron though. I am not coordinated. I end up with wee little burn scars.
