Plei!

Care to answer a few whiskey questions for the scene in my novel I'm working on right this second?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You people are so judgmental. One kiddie crack ho, a wee bit of bestiality, is that all it takes these days?

I've got it recording on DVR right now, Jen. I can make a copy on VHS iffen you want. Likely without the commercials.

Thanks for the offer, Cass! But I think I'm going to be weak and just download it from the ether in that way I shouldn't (especially given ita's recent issues with same). But. One more time, right? I just jinxed myself, didn't I? Completely.

Thanks, though!

Slounger is keeping me up way past bedtime. Such a concentration of fun.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Sure...

Though I expect it's changed a fair bit in 200 years.

You people are so judgmental.

You say judgmental, we say discerning.

Am sad now that I have finished my box of leonidas.

So, in looking for my bottle of PVA glue, I realized I have not just one, but two bottles of a product called Stiffy.

I kid you not.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Am sad now that I have finished my box of leonidas.

That is sad making.

Hee. You said stiffy.

It's totally sad making. So sadmaking that I'm so overwhelmed by the sadness that I can only sit here, rock back and forth and say, "knuffle bunny".

or not.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I want more chocolate, Kat. Leonidas sounds goooood. I think I'll make brownies tomorrow. For tonight, I'll go to bed.

Oh, no doubt. But I've only ever drunk the stuff as part of mixed drinks (mmm...whiskey sours). Which leads to my first question: what does the good stuff taste like? If a lady who was accustomed to drinking nothing stronger than wine were given some of her cousin's private stash from the family distillery (N.B.--must look up whether the family distillery would've been legal at this point in history), how would she react to it? And what would be an appropriate quantity of whiskey to offer someone unused to it if your goal was to help her bear up under severe stress (mostly emotional), but emphatically not to make her obviously drunk?

Thanks!
