Angel: Connor, this is Spike and Illyria. Guys, this is Connor. Connor: Hi. umm...I like your outfit. Illyria: Your body warms. This one is lusting after me. Connor: Oh...no, I--I--it's just that it's the outfit. I guess I've had a thing for older women. Angel: They were supposed to fix that.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Board....flatlined....

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I'm still up, but I'm trying to finish a paper on Beowulf. And, hopefully, get some sleep tonight. Unlike last night.

Good luck with the paper, and the sleeping.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Beowulf was one asymmetrical dude.

I just watched too many hours of 24. It's not really supposed to make me giggle, is it?

That'll wake you up, K? (work-safe!)

I just heard that the Red Line (a big main commuter line that I take for a significant portion of my commute) is disabled because of a gas explosion. Which means I'm going to have to be extra-resourceful for getting to work today....

Timelies to the rest of ya.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Oh no!

Wait, I take a different Red Line. Anyway, that sucks, Theo. All Red Lines should be running smoothly. Also, gas shouldn't explode. But it should still do the other stuff we want it to.

No panicky calls from the client so far - which means the changes I made to their payroll system last night probably worked OK. Silly client - when a thousand employees can't enter time into their timesheet system, they get cranky.

Hey! Where is everybody?

::bounce bounce bounce::

Despite getting up early, I am in a freakishly good mood. Or maybe because I got up early. That's not right.

Or maybe it's that the anxiety over the upgrade to our client's payroll system has lifted. I dunno. Or that I had caffeine for the first time in about five days?
