Natter 32 Flavors and Then Some
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Instead of the SotU, DH and I watched an ep of Queer Eye off the Tivo. It seemed fitting.
I'll read the transcript tomorrow, but I doubt there'll be any surprises. Blah blah Iraq, blah blah 9/11, blah blah social security, blah blah mandate blah blah freedom, rinse repeat.
My big justification was that I didn't know what I had gotten on the final project that was 40% of my grade, so I just asked about that. Luckily, no speech, since it was all via email.
Oh, I see. Actually, I've been in that exact same situation, too. Unfortunately, the teacher is a little spacey (and I love her, and still talk to her to this day, and sometimes just hang out with her), and I have never been able to get her to focus enough to tell me what my final grade was, that managed to bring down my grade enough that it worked against the perfect attendance, extra credit things, and straight A's on all the rest of the projects. Grades can be very frustrating.
But not nearly as frustrating as the SotU.
Grades can be very frustrating.
True that.
But not nearly as frustrating as the SotU.
True THAT.
I thought I'd pay bills and watch. Double my pleasure, double my fun.
Hey! Annabel just stood on her own, for like two whole seconds, before reaching out to the playpen wall for support again!
Genre: French for "has its own section at Barnes & Noble"
I got it from this guy's blog. He's a Christian book editor, and I was expecting to be annoyed because I'm so turned off by the contents of your average Christian bookstore, but he's actually got interesting things to say about writing and publishing in general, and he'd like to see Christian fiction that pushes boundaries. I still can't imagine myself ever writing the stuff, but I'd like reading it more if he were a typical editor.
Off for choir practice. My challenge will be to get a CD into the car stereo before the radio comes on, because it's set to NPR and I might have to hear a few seconds of the SotU.

Wow, Jesse. Are you sure you don't want my office-mate to come hang out with you too? To complete the trifecta of fun?
Very cool, Susan.

Go Annabel!! Susan, I love that picture. We have the same model play yard. Owen has figured out how to follow the walls all the way around and peers over the edge to watch me on the computer but he hasn't been brave enough to venture a free-standing moment as of yet.
How was the book. Would you recommend it?
Not brilliant, but satisfying. I cared about the mix of real and fictional characters and stayed up late on more than one night. This made it worth my time to read.

Oh No! Once she gets the walking thing down running is not far behind.
just in case anyone was wondering, I
am
beautiful on the inside.
Damn commercial.
OK, that was relatively painless. I just paid most of my bills indefinitely, thanks to the magic of recurring payments. I still need to take my phone bill off the credit card it's on now, and cancel that card, but that's another task for another day.
Cutie big-girl Annabel!

Ha. In a moment of weird synchronicity, I was listening to Christina, and "Beautiful."
Speaking of music, has anyone seen the new music video for Lindsay Lohan's "Over?" Because I don't get it. Did her boyfriend break up with her because his dad didn't like her, and kept dragging him away from her every time he saw [the boyfriend] so much as look at her? Even going so far as to track the boyfriend to a house party that he attended with Lindsay, and dragging him away from that? And then did he beat him, or something? Because it was confusing. And also weird.
