We can't decapitate major crazy smartasses?

Hey, he's my brother. I can (and have in the past, really really wanted to, but...he's better now.)

He actually owned this horrible purple pimp suit. It was mainly worn as a Halloween costume but got dug out for several school functions just to exasperate the teachers. It was really tacky.

If I only had a brain...

I like the zootux.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

What kat says is true. I have met very few boys under, say, 25, who could look comfortable in a tuxedo, or even a suit. Partly I think it is the skinniness factor, i.e. many boys look too small for their clothes even when they are in the right size; but partly, it is just that they aren't wearing their own clothes, and it shows.

Now, I knew a kid in the 8th grade who had his own tailored suit, and wore it to a school function once. He looked like a tiny mafioso, and the suit absolutely suited him (I mean, except inasmuch as it made him look like a mafioso).

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

We can't decapitate major crazy smartasses?

It would be suicidal, in this group.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Lovely. The Tainted Love earworm has been replaced by Cherry Poppin' Daddies' Zoot Suit Riot.

Toe-tapping is in progress.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

This is where my lack of acculturation serves me well. Aside from the narrowly avoided disaster of that one cousin, the prom stuff I've seen has either been HAWT (nothing skinny about this dude), or on TV, so it was okay.

Would you say that the teenaged girls look better in formal wear than the boys? Perhaps it's because they're less funny.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I'm a fan of a good zoot suit, but that's not one.

I'll take the earworm, though.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Well, thanks to the zoot suit curiousity this discussion sparked I know know how I'll dress if I should get a job as a demon postmortem.

Also, got a peek at how David Boreanaz will look in 40 years.

Spooky. And yet so, so true.

::snort:: That was a DCOMM* moment. I'm in amych's corner of utter truthfulness on this one.
