I cheated and looked at a map. And I live a block away from it, drive on it every day.

Natchitoches is pronounced diffferently depending on what state you're in. NACK-it-ish is how I learned it.
Ohh... I learned nack-i-DO-shis. NACK-it-ish just seems wrong in my ears.
Mmmm, Redbones.
Mm, indeed. For the record: hushpuppies, are served at Redbones, Nutty, as well as delicious sweet corn fritters. I like the savory hushpuppies better. Also, they do serve their soft drinks in giant jelly jars. I always get my water and iced tea in them.
I haven't been to Redbones since I quit drinking because it is too hard to go there and not have a delicious beer. But, man, I love that place.
Lara Flynn Boyle sounds exhausted, poor dear. That's the correct term, exhausted?
somethings I am happy not to know.
I made it through binders from the 60s and 70s today(checking 10 year old data files against current data files, checking for lost info or entirely lost files due to crappy upkeep). I only have the 80s left. I will do that tomorrow. woo!

I can't believe I never told you about Lara bleaching her butt to please old Jackie.
Huh.
Huh.

My office mate is having office hours right now, so I didn't read up on the latest LFB moment. Yet. But I will.
"No, asshat, I switched to viola because university orchestas always need them and I could get a scholarship."
Smart.

You're good with that bow.
Though that means it feels really good once the weirdo rhythm finally does make sense. God, I haven't played in an orchestra... it's been a long time. I miss it. Mind you, I suspect I don't even remember how to read music at this point.
I know. It's only been three and a half years since I last touched my violin, and yet, I've already lost so much music knowledge. I'm learning to play the piano, and the treble clef is still readable, but it takes me a moment that it never used to to remember what the notes are. And the bass clef is driving me up the wall because it looks so much like the treble clef, and yet the notes that it would be on that are not the notes that it is on this. Very tricky. Also, my brain keeps sending orders to my left hand fingers to play the higher note, and so my pinky comes down, and thus plays the lower note.
It's very strange. I'm having a lot more problems adjusting to piano from violin than I did going from recorder to violin.
