Overwhelming? How much more than whelming would that be exactly?

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Right, so, was there a weekend? Because I didn't get one, and I'm wondering if I need to fill out a missing weekend report.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm wondering if I need to fill out a missing weekend report.

I heard they make you wait 24 hours. Just to make sure the weekend didn't run off with an old boyfriend and forgot to call.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

One of our part-time co-workers just brought her dog in. In a handbag. It's a mini chihuahua, and it's all calm and pitiful and shaking even though it's wearing a sweater. So. Damn. Cute.

My best friend does this with hers. Pixie even has her own special handbag. She has to wear pearls to the office though, unless it's casual Friday.

shrift, perhaps your weekend is hanging out with the one I'm missing from the 22-23 of this month.

I have a friend with a Chihuahua who would LOVE this.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Chihuahuas scare me.

Linz uses one of those huuge Juicy bowling bag purses. It's big enough for the dog, a couple of toys and her lovey. On weekends she has a Barbie bag.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

In a crowd situation, it's disconcerting being one of the few people other than the musicians who have rhythm. One time at a church service with more modern music, Ben turned to me, quite alarmed, and asked, "Mommy, is everyone clapping wrong?" The numbers were so against the right-clappers, he started to doubt his own rhythm, which is excellent.

I've been there so. many. times. I don't claim to be a good dancer, at least not with anything spontaneous--I do OK when there are steps to follow--but rhythm I have. And don't understand the lack of it. I mean, the beat is right there, being the beat. How do people not hear it?

I've also been in situations where most everyone is clapping together on the 2 and the 4, but one or two people stubbornly stick to the 1 and the 3. WTF? Can't they tell?
