Poking head to post that, according to the Buffista Calendar today is Anne W's birthday. Happy birthday, Anne! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year.
(Also, hi, everybody. I've been home with a bad cold for most of the week, so no time-in-front-of-the-computer for me, and I've missed you guys and hope all is well with you. And now, off to try to catch up on work, because of course I had to miss on one of the busiest weeks of the year.)

Bar patrons take turns playing their iPods over the bar's sound sytem....
I used to go to one of the bars mentioned here ("Get Me High") when I lived in Wicker Park. This was back in The Dark Ages, aka The Time Before iPods.
I love my ipod, and the music on it, but I am not sure I would want to play it in a bar.
I would probably not be able to resist the urge to pick out weird songs that would have bar patrons asking, "WTF is this?"
If they ever get around to adding WiFi to the iPod just imagine the possibilities.
I'm pretty much decided on buying myself an iRiver. Does anyone have any horror stories to warn me off?

DH likes his. We bought an earlier model a year ago Christmas and a button broke on it--but we took it back to Best Buy and they gave us a new one--more memory and a newer model and we haven't had any trouble with it at all.
