It's supposed to get up to a blazing 35F today. Which considering that it's 10 right now, is a welcome break.
I spent my evening at a tiny Hah-vahd SF con talking to Patrick and Teresa Neilsen Hayden, Jacqueline Carey, James Morrow, and more. Nice guest list for such a little con. And they have a nice small amphitheatre-type hall for the panel track, which looks like a set for a law school movie -- the seats are maroon velvet. And the acoustics are perfect.

Timelies! I just got back from walking three miles in the cold with the dogs. I had hoped they would be tired after this.
Instead, Toby is wagging his tail loudly against the door and barking at me while looking in the general direction of where his bones are stored. I've explained that the bones for treats for evenings, but he doesn't seem to accept that.
ETA: I put him in his kennel, with the door closed, but not locked, just to distract him from the bones for a minute. When I went in there just now, he had opened the door, but was still sitting inside with his paws just barely sticking out. I'm convinced this is his way of saying "I could leave if I wanted to, but I really *want* to be in here."
