Natter 32 Flavors and Then Some
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Ooh, sara, that's creepy. The robbing, not the ER. Sliding glass doors on ground level never seem like a good idea to me, I've got to say. My crazy grandmother has one, and like four locks on it, but still -- if someone really wanted to get in, they could just break the glass, couldn't they? Except for the part where they couldn't get back there where it is without scaling a fence.
So if I thought I loved Jon Stewart before, I was mistaken. Now my love is rare and true and will burn in my heart forever.
Yes, the show tonight was fantastic.
That is creepy, sara. Strangers at the door, nuh-uh. Eeek. Glad your neighbor scared them off, but that must have freaked her out. I can't imagine coming home to people there.
Um, to change from the creepy... yeah, you know, I think I got interested in MI-5 because of a conversation between Vortex and ita, bless 'em. I was so right to follow that lead.
Not a dream.
And yeah, that was one of the reasons I initially turned down ground floor. I love my windows (2 sliding doors, only one to the balcony) but they can be insecure. I don't worry so much about someone breaking through them (they can do that on regular glass-hell, I have had to when I locked myself out- and SGD glass tends to be more thick and insulated and...) but more about the locking mech. Up here, I rely on the mech. Ground floor, I'd have johnnybars.
Aaah! Tell us more, pixie wench!
Details, Kristin?
It was sooo good. How good? My new tag (which just got changed--I shall have to include pixie wench in it for billytea in a second) is just a taste.
Okay, placeholder post while I write up a longer account of the night. Give me a few minutes.
Glad your neighbor scared them off, but that must have freaked her out.
Well, she's talking of moving. And we had an interesting conversation about the precautions women take instinctively. She's married. Her husband feels fine that she's carrying 3 knives she knows how to use. She? NSM.
