The battery in his car was dead and it was low on gas. I got the battery re-charged but I didn't want to chance driving it to the station because who would get me if it died. I got some gas in one of our gas cans but when I poured it in the tank it leaked.
ETA: Also, there is now a small almost-dry puddle of gas on the garage floor. I don't think that's very good, but I'm hoping evaporation will take care of the problem.
Wash up with baking soda. It works for other stuff, it might work for gas.
I have something like 15 weeks of sick leave banked. I don't use it that often and it rolls over, year to year. It is something I lose upon leaving, as opposed to vacation, which they'll pay you for.

rub rubbing alcohol on your hands. that will kill the gas smell. the wash your hands with a scented soap.
I want a prize for not growling at the oh-so-hip boy from the Marketing department when he said "Oh wow, I didn't know it was still Halloween." A really *good* prize, like not having to help out with last-minute things Marketing suddenly realizes should maybe, just maybe, be edited.

ok, I used the baking soda and it got about half the smell off. I have no lemon juice, but I'm going to go try the alcohol and soap. If nothing else, my hands will be very very clean.

Vanilla extract, Nonian. A drop or two on your wet, clean hands, and rub it all over like lotion. Then rinse and wipe dry, and that should do it.
