Fred: It's the pictures in my mind that are getting me. It's like being stuck in a really bad movie with those Clockwork Orange clampy things on my eyeballs. Wesley: Why imagine? Reality's disturbing enough.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Excellent Paul Krugman editorial in NYT exposing the Bush lie that the current Social Security program is unfair to blacks.

I read this this morning. I love Paul Krugman and want to have his babies. The Bob Herbert column on the same page is also pretty good (short version -- yes, Bloomberg is leaps and bounds ahead of Pataki wrt fiscal responsibility, but the West Side Stadium idea is crack-addled and lame when we need that money for public schools and a new A train).

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I am now thinking about chili as well, not least because the chili place I am thinking of is only 5 yards shy of being contiguous with my building. And I have no intention of leaving the building except for emergency or going home.

I like skyline chili, because I canna stand hot flavors. The hot-ingredient just burns and gives me no pleasure. (I have solidarity with cilantro-haters in this way, although I do not personally have a problem with cilantro.) Skyline chili is not hot; therefore, I can eat it.

Also, I will take my chocolate any way I can get it.

Speaking of which, smores pop tarts! Food of the gods.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I still think I'd rather nap than take a long walk today -- I didn't sleep well or much last night. Bleh.

choose nap. nap for all of us who are nap deprived.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Unless by "long walk" you mean your going back and forth in your apartment, choose the nap. You really don't want to go outside today.

Up with the sun

The idea of putting chilli on spaghetti strikes me as wrong, but I don't like chili to start with. So maybe I'd really like the noodleriffic stuff, if I tried it.

(Also, timelies.)

Yeah, I've already been out there so, I think I need more time to recover.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

The idea of putting chilli on spaghetti strikes me as wrong

But you have to remember -- it's not thick hearty Texas-style chili; it's a thin concoction that's a lot more like a meat sauce.

t edit I don't know how well you can tell from this picture, b/c there's so much cheese on it, but the dish at the top is a 3-way: [link]
