The closest Starbucks to me is about 5 or 6 blocks away. I want one closer because I'm just a lazy ass like that.

My town has no Starbucks.
DX, I'm thinking Green's an Immortal. On the upside, there might be some hotties with swords coming through NC in the next few weeks. The downside, well, I think I'll keep my laptop unplugged just in case.
None of my local libraries have coffee. I think that should change. We have a lovely local coffee house across the road from the nearest Starbucks, which isn't too terribly saturated hereabouts. Oddly enough, in an area famous for caffeine-driven geeks (Research Triangle Park) there's only one coffee house, and it's hidden so far in the back of a strip mall that you have to be really motivated to find it. This should also change.

Sounds like a town without pity.
Davis Square Somerville is like the coffee capital of the world -- there are several independent coffee places plus Starbucks plus Dunkin, all within like 4 blocks. Love it.
I keep getting "free drink!" certificates from my Safeway (which has a Starbucks) but I never use them and they expire.

OK, so I've been pretty much cranky for 2 weeks now. Easily irritated, that sort of thing. And people aren't helping by being boneheadedly STUPID.
Dude, if you aren't listening to my explanation, tell me and I can save my breath. Because if 5 minutes after I explain X, you ask, "so what is up with X?" You are going to get a terse "That's what I was talking about."
I think I'd better go pick up my free stress relief ball from HR.
Sounds like a town without pity. And it isn't very pretty what one of those can do.
sits back to watch all the coffee addicted gapeNo gaping, here. Dude, you don't even eat cookies at work. You're clearly an eccentric.
Oh, this is too funny. It isn't a ball it is a wee foam HST .
This cracks me up.

I like coffee. I just can only handle 1 cup a day, and it has to be before 10 am or it's not going to be a pretty night.
Aversion therapy works, people. Cookie-unmonsteriness stems somewhat from that as well. Now offer me cheese.....

Also, 2 places to get ice cream (JP Licks and Someday). And 2 Indian places. YUM! And Redbones, where I get hooked on the latest yummy microbrew crack, and Downtown Liquors, where I can stock up and supply myself with said microbrew crack.
Sigh. I never want to leave Somerville. Except, it's rather cold and snowy this time of year.
Somerville is like Stars Hollow on Gilmore Girls, right?
Don't shatter my illusions.
