That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

one of the many local liquor stores (this is Forest Park I'm talking here!).

Oh, heavens, yes. Liquor store, bar, cemetary. Liquor store, bar, cemetary. Rinse and repeat.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I gave a guy a cup of coffee when coming out of a McDonalds once - came with the value meal, and I had better stuff at the office. He seemed glad enough of it.

I never give them cash because I suspect that they'll use it at one of the many local liquor stores (this is Forest Park I'm talking here!).

Eh, that doesn't really bother me. I spend plenty of money on liquor and frankly, I probably need it less. Actually, after spending 48 hours on the street as part of an outreach thingy when I lived in Atlanta, I know I need it less.

Joking aside, I find I have some fairly strong feelings about this issue.

My decision to give or not give at a particualar time is, I think, based more on what's going on with me internally than with the person's actual needs, which I can't ever know. So why should I get worked up about what it gets used for in the end? I'm not comfortable using a dollar to make moral judgements.

Now, if I were prepared to give someone the kind of money, assistance, resources, whatever to really make a difference in someone's life, then yeah, a little planning at least would be in order. But all the dollar I give to a homeless person will do, all it can do, is make their day a little better. So who am I to say how they should go about it?

[Kathy, you know none of this is directed at you, right? Just something I've been thinking about.]

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Gah. The 5 is closed for rush hour tonight. I have to find a route home that bypasses that. With the rain and confusion, there's no way this won't be a total mess.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Gus! Welcome back, you.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Apparently he was caught squatting in some guy's house, or something.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Don't log into Buffistas for more than eight hours

Herein, very clearly, lies your error.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Sure. Don't log into Buffistas for more than eight hours. Find out that tommyrot is worried about going to jail.

Also, I think the link to the picture of JZ in her corset has expired.

You guys are mean.

Except for the Golden One, of course, who has a Mean named for her.

So, I guess that makes amych the mean one. Except we know better.

Bag it.

What is going on with tommyrot?
