Firefly 4: Also, we can kill you with our brains

Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

Ummm. Awkward.

So did anyone else see that Nathan gave Alan a bad time on stage about starting rumors? It was yesterday at the creation ripoff. Funny how no one at Whedonesque or the OB is apologizing to me.

hmmmmmm

I like the idea of having a rewatch and then discussing. Regardless of where we are left to wave our flags it sounds like fun. Has anybody else started on ideas for it? If not does anybody else want to team up to start it?

dunno what that would entail, but if it means rewatching Firefly, and getting others Jazzed about it, Lead on McDuff (is it ok to quote McBeth if we aren't in a theater? I don't want to do the stupid spit/circle thing)

I saw that. Alan blamed Nathan, Nathan blamed Joss, Joss doesn't care.

I'll apologise to you if you want, T. Although I agreed with you all along.

Also, I don't think Zenkitty was saying that at all, Allyson.

Allyson, WTF was that?

already 42 votes. Anyone else nervous? We have to wait 2 more days?!

Anyhow, so. DVD-a-thon. Anyone have a particular thread that we want to discuss it in case things end up in a manner that makes this thread not a viable option? One with low post rates? I confess, I only subscribe to 4, so... suggestions?

Do we want to discuss one show a week? Should we go in order of the DVD's? Or as aired (shivers)?

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I like the idea of one a week, in DVD order. Even thinking of as-aired order still makes me a bit cross.

And I'm keeping my head firmly buried in the sand about threads, at least until the vote is finished.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

There's, like, 9 posts here left. Although I presume we're leaving it up until Thursday. I haven't seen Firefly in years, so I'd be up for it from the beginning again. I figure Minearverse at the moment, as there's nothing else going on right now.

Edit: I can't count.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I second the vote for Minearverse. A flurry of Firefly posts would be intrusive in Natter or Boxed Set, especially if we do a watch n' post, which I would really enjoy. How about Tuesday nights since the Buffy w&ps seem to have died off?

I would suggest weekend, as I have nothing recording those nights. But that is purely selfish reasons, and easily swayed otherwise. That aside, Tuesdays is not a bad choice.

Compassionately intolerant

I'm open to Tuesdays or weekends. Sunday nights are hard, as that is my 'listen to old radio shows, cook and clean' night...but for a couple of months, I can adjust!
