From the Zap2it blog on the Whedon panel at Comicon:
A young boy got up to the microphone and really won everyone over. He became a fan because his dad wanted him to watch Firefly. Initially reluctant because his father usually has "lame taste," five minutes into it and he was hooked. His question: "What was going through your mind when you came up with the idea? Were you watching Star Wars and said, wow, I wonder what would happen if Clint Eastwood was in this?'" Joss responded, "No, but from now on yes."
Tim's! Totally worth a plane ticket.
I long ago gave up on being a total crew fanatic (some of Sean Maher's stuff just makes me all @@). Kind of curious about AB's
Chuck,
though.
We watched and posted it over in Boxed Set!
Awww, I missed that! Would have been fun. At least I was watching (and merrily skewering) it with a fellow Eugene Browncoat.
tee hee hee. One of the good things about being in charge of the video at the theater... I get the cable box in my office! Woppee! Firefly marathon while at work! (until the boss comes in and wants to watch Golf on TNT)
love that line!
"you killed yourself. I just carried the bullet awhile"
sounds like they've slowed down the shows. The theme is noticeably d-r-a-w-n out. (sound geek & firefly geek, all in one post)
[sorry for the running posti-spree]
That ep makes me sad x2 because it's a sad episode in the first place but after listening to the commentary I know that while they were filming it they already knew they were cancelled.
