From Whedonesque: Firefly/Serenity-inspired car. It's pretty damn cool. And apparently, it works, too.
'The Killer In Me'
Firefly 4: Also, we can kill you with our brains
Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.
That car must have taken a lot of work. It's kinda cool, but I hate the design of the website. Seriously, I don't want to have to scroll down to read a quote, only to have the page reload before my eyes have focussed enough to start reading, lather, rinse, repeat. It's like a text-y animated icon on LJ flipping through the text so fast I can't read it the first time through, then I have to watch it fifteen times so I can memorize each shot enough to not have to read the first bits so I can skip them and read the last bits as they flip through. And then I find out it wasn't that amusing anyway. And then there are twelve other different icons that do the same thing along with five marquis-scrolling birthday wishes on my friends page. Which is why the frisbee-like quality of my puters is so important.
Huh. Where'd that rant come from? Sorry.
The car is cool, but I'm not sure I would see it on the street and immediately think, Firefly!
It's like a fanfic of a car, really. Not the same as the text. Extrapolations and interpretations and incorporations.
Cool car! But ya, not as immediately identifiable as say something like this: Interior.
Parked next to this one up at Griffith Observatory!! VERY COOL!

Ohhhh I've seen that car around town... My 10 y.o adores it (and can't figure out why we don't do that to my Explorer)
Man, I just saw the strangest commercial on Nick... from the drug council... using leeches! UGH!
Ugh yeah I've seen that one too. The worst part is that nobody's been able to prove those anti-drug campaigns really work. I've even seen one study that claimed the anti-campaigns encourage teens to experiment more.
It's even worse when you've been dozing off and happen to wake up to it. ::shudder::
The first time I saw that damn leech ad, for about half-way through I thought it was for real (granted, I was not entirely sober). I got covered in leeches once as a kid, from swimming in a pond. My mother was wigging out, and I was, Hmm. Interesting.
What thread is this? Oh yeah... I may get another toaster. A colleague has promised to watch Firefly after he finishes devouring Buffy and Angel (from the top, not the bottom) because he likes them so much.
So. Cool. I have always wanted the time/money/insanity to X-Wing out my car.

Topic? Uhm...Wash is no Wedge, but Firefly loses none of its awesome anyway.
