Sail, it's a Tim Robbins movie.
Firefly 4: Also, we can kill you with our brains
Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.
Ah, I see why I was was not aware of it. It came out while I was transferring back to the States. There's a definite culture (pop or otherwise) gap in my life from 1985-1989, while I was stationed overseas.
The imdb review is not kind to it. What's the general concensus around this place (if there is one?)
edited because my mind thinks faster than my fingers.
I laughed my ass off. But possibly because Tim Robbins never looked so much like an ex of mine, and there was maybe a scene or two in the movie that rang true.
Haven't seen it again, though.
I laughed my ass off
Laugh with or laugh at? Laugh at in the too funny to believe or the too painful to believe and you'd rather laugh than cry?
With. I found it very funny.
Cool. I'll look for it the next time I'm in the mood to rent movies.
Very funny movie.
I love Erik the Viking. Tim Robbins, Mickey Rooney, Eartha Kitt, Terry Jones and John Cleese. Yeah, it's a hoot and a half. And actually quite a neat, kooky little viking fantasy. It actually kind of works.
Yeah, it has a very Monty-Pythonesque vibe to it, and not just because Jones and Cleese are involved. But not as much with the rapid-fire jokes, there are a lot of quiet stretches too.
It was written by Terry Jones, of course it's Pythonesque.
