Walking I get. But power walking? Why not just run for a shorter time?

Firefly 4: Also, we can kill you with our brains

Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

I can't even.

I had no problems with the deaths other than the fact that I had to keep my mouth shut from December 2004 until basically October 2005.

Price of being a spoiler ho (no offense).

He never presumed there would be no consequences for his own crew. To the contrary, he told them that there was a high chance of dying.

That, and they were all dead anyway. The Operative didn't leave much behind even in the circumstances when he did get what he wanted.

As for the other, TV!Mal put lives before causes. It seemed that he had had an epiphany after the battle of Serenity along those lines. Movie!Mal did put the cause before the lives.

I thought it was a question of being forced back into that person he used to be because of the corner they were in.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

I'm not a spoiler ho. That is when I first saw the movie.

Was teasing. I saw it in June and that was bad enough with all the "Why didn't you tell me?" recriminations from friends.

I'm pretty sanctimoniously spoiler-pure, even when I'm the one in the know. With my ho-ish, but non preview-enhanced friends, I was all "how'd ya like them HSQ apples, biatch?"

My bad. My sense of humor left for vacation this week.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Thank you. Sincerely. I knew many people that knew, and talked about the movie with them a lot. And I still didn't know, didn't even have an inkling, until I saw his death on opening night. For this, I thank everyone who saw one of the previews, who accidently read a spoiler posted in the wrong spot, or, you know, who was a spoiler ho.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

(Makes note for next employee review: Goal 1: Watch Firefly.)

This seems reasonable. How is this not reasonable?

I am on board with those who think that some deaths in Serenity were meant to push buttons that may not have been present in audience members not familar with the series.

Book, especially. Some guy got dead. He had a conversation with Mal, this one time about "paths". Or "Ways", or something.

Frankly, if you put on your Mundane hat and watch the scene, it is all about nostril hair.

Strawberry disappointment.

Jars. It was my first attempt at photobucket and it was a shambles. I'm going to get them sorted on putfile, I should have them up tomorrow.

Lesson learned. Do not make jokes while in a Firefly thread at Whedonesqe. sheesh!
