I hope it's Tremors funny. I like Tremors.
The most frequent comparisons I keep hearing is Tremors and Shaun of the Dead.

Critics seem to be enjoying Slither
I want it bad. I need somebody in this place who likes horror/comedy...

Really? I think it's right up my alley then. I love both those movies. And I've been loving the marketing for Slither.
I've never seen Tremors, but I loved Shaun of the Dead. I think I'm more than ready for Slither. Plus, the chance to see NF, again, on the big screen.
You must see Tremors, SailAweigh! A really fun old fashioned monster flick, with some great one-liners by Kevin Bacon, Fred Ward, and Michael Gross. Pop a cold brewski and have some friends over for some cheesetastic flicks, starting with that one.
Not to mention Reba McEntire with a roomful of shotguns for, like, half the movie.

Wow. SLITHER's got 91% @ Rotten Tomatoes, with a decent volume of reviews. Even some of the supposed negative reviews (Ebert's is a good example) are on the positive side when you read them in full.
SLUGS IN YOUR FACE may trump SNAKES ON A PLANE if the audience responds likewise.
Has this project ever been mentioned? Done The Impossible
Has this project ever been mentioned? Done The ImpossibleDon't know if it's been mentioned, but my recollection is of a documentary that explained the Firefly/Serenity phenonemon well, but at a little too much length. Kill a few darlings (especially of the self congratulatory kind) and the whole thing would've been more accessible to non-fans. Not to mention easier to sit through. That's what I recall anyway.
