I listened to the Serenity commentary last night. I get the impression Joss thinks Jack Green, the lighting guy, is slightly competent.

every time now that I see a Universal movie, when the Universal logo sequence appears, I keep expecting to start zooming in and hear "Earth-That-Was could no longer sustain..."
Yep, much the way every time I see the Paramount logo it's supposed to turn into an Andean peak with Indiana Jones somewhere on it.
Great recap so far, although I'm only a few screens in.
Speaking of lighting... Re-Lighting The Firefly was not at all what I was expecting it to be.
I am completely in favour of a special edition with many more (and better) extras on it.
