Book: Yes, I'd forgotten you're moonlighting as a criminal mastermind now. Got your next heist planned? Simon: No. But I'm thinking about growing a big black mustache. I'm a traditionalist.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I love to throw on the BSG Season 1 soundtrack and the Firefly soundtrack together. They seem to mesh. I was gifted with the Serenity soundtrack, but I don't play it, because I like the Firefly music so much better.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Just got to see the additional extras on the Region 4 DVD of Serenity.

Wow.

Three titles in particular:

  • "A Filmmaker's Journey: From Script To Screen With Joss Whedon"
  • "A Walk Through Serenity"
  • "The Green Clan"

Worth seeking out. Informative, and great fun.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

What would be a good place from which an American could purchase a Region 4 DVD?

Or for that matter, sell one. I have a Region 4 Buffy Season 1 that I don't need.

If we're really lucky, they'll do it in that order...

This lot have an exclusive "in a tin" edition:

It says that it is out of stock, but it said that when I ordered, and it was sent out the next day.

It is pretty nice!

Edited because I can't do links.

This may be totally subjective, but I think the cover of the tin Serenity takes some of the wind out of one of my favorite HSQ moments. Although it's still a sweet pose.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

They used that shot on one of the posters, and it's not the same as the power shot of River after the Reavers, I don't think. I think it's kind of a silly, overdramatic pose.

Yeah I guess it is pretty silly. Makes the movie look like Ultraviolet whose premise in the previews is beyond my limited intellect to grasp.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

What little I've gathered of Ultraviolet makes it look like a low-rent combination of Dark Angel and Aeon Flux.

Throw in a measure of Underworld with some Electra seasoning, and that's kind of what I figured.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

At least I don't wonder about the location of River's internal organs in that pose. Mila's freaking me out.
