It's simple. I slap 'em around a bit, torture 'em, make their lives hell...Sure, the nice guys'll run away, but every now and then you'll find a prince like Spike who gets off on it.

Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Finally saw it again yesterday (the last time I would have been able to unless it comes to the second run theaters around here, which it hasn't yet).

It felt a lot tighter than at the preview screening, and I could tell they'd lightened up picture (photographically speaking) and color corrected it and all. I didn't notice anything missing, but it felt like it worked better. I am pretty sure Joss seriously edited any Reaver segments, because they felt a lot scarier this time around. I'm suprised there hasn't been more enthusiasm for the soundtrack because I thought it was really good, and managed to keep some of the sound of the series (the fiddle) without seeming quite as western-y.

Anyway, I'm really glad I did get around to seeing it again in a theater. I will definitely catch it a third time if it hits second run.

Ever fired your gun in the air and yelled, 'Aaaaaaah?'

I bought the soundtrack. Tracks 3,4 and 20-23 are played constantly. I love them.

So, Allyson and Kristen, fancy saving Firefly?

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Why on Earth are you encouraging them?

It's one of those netiquette things. Someone posed a question in email, and really, we shouldn't be discussing something someone wanted to remain private on an open board.

Well, I would actually like to her your thoughts on it. Everybody has a different perspective on these things, I don't know what yours is.

I was joking here, though, I didn't actually know if you'd seen it yet.
