Firefly 4: Also, we can kill you with our brains

Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

When we kill people it makes the policemen flustered and stern.

Both times I've seen it I stayed to the end of the credits and when they finished gave my own "Grrr Argh!" to the applause of everyone left in the theatre. I miss the mutant.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yeah, I waited for him too, but then I realized he wouldn't have been there, because it wasn't a Mutant Enemy Production.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I'm totally jealous that Madrigal gets to hang out with John H., and that John H. gets to hang out with Madrigal.

All this time, I thought Hunter was a bitch. Turns out she was just hungry.

My secondhand understanding from people who worked with him on the movie was that he never intended to stay on the show long, even if it had continued.

I suspect casting agents love this guy too much for him to stay put on any series for too long.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

That's how I feel about Tudyk. I have too much love for him.

I'm totally jealous that Madrigal gets to hang out with John H., and that John H. gets to hang out with Madrigal.

I have this jealousy also. Also also, Kate P. lives too far away.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Allyson on Whedonesque. Save Firefly. And puppies.

I saw that! Very cool. I was very confused, because I thought someone had posted it ages ago. Then I realized I'd beta-read it way back when. It's a good story, much like all the others I read.

Hey, Kevin, how'd your documentary turn out?

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Polter-Cow, I haven't had time or the effort to edit it together yet. It's mostly down to effort. There's a lot of footage, although it really does require a lot of editing. And also, there's so much footage it lacks a clear direction, which is my fault.

Truth be told, I'm totally Serenity'ed out. I really do believe this film took over everything in the last 6 months. There's a fair amount of story I'm not (yet) allowed to post online about it all, as it'd freak out Universal, but I spent a lot of time on the thing in the UK and on SerenityMovie.com.

It opened #1 here. It did well, given the factors. Best performance worldwide.

But man... Am I enjoying kicking back now.

And, by the way, if anybody thinks I've been sucking off Uncle Joss(tm) these last few months.. Really haven't. I can't even remember why I got so involved, other than wanting people to watch what I considered to be a good movie (sorry Allyson ;).

I think I joined the ranks of Allyson in the slightly obsessive, getting a bit annoyed, trying to steer an a strange boat, though..
