Gunn: Well, how horrible is this thing? Lorne: I haven't read the Book of Revelations lately, but if I was searching for adjectives, I'd probably start there.

Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

Ankh-Morpork Watchman, Dreamer, Scooby, Minister of Grace, Still Flyin' in a Zoo2 World

What is even happening?

Awesome. Although I was confused because they seemed to be lumping her in with the crazies. Whatev.

They possibly were, but what she said wasn't, and well, the fandomwank posters ought not throw stones, you know.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Thanks, KernelM.

the fandomwank posters ought not throw stones, you know.

Too true.

In other news, I have successfully made a full Firefly convert out of one coworker (he admitted to buying the Serenity Visual Companion today!) and another's interest has been piqued. I may not always love my job, but my super-geeky coworkers are pretty great.

"what's left when you take biology and sociology out of the picture?" "An autistic hermaphodite." -Allyson

That does bring up the darkly funny image of intercepting Reaver comm calls were they're glaring at the viewscreens and screaming at each other in some way that actually works as communication.

I totally buy this explanation.

When we kill people it makes the policemen flustered and stern.

Pointing to various body parts sewn into their clothing as part of the process...

It's not macabre fashion sense, just a disgusting way of communicating. 'Reaver points to an ear sewn into his vest while grunting someone's 'name', then makes biting motions and holds up a thumb from his necklace.' translates to "Tell Frank I'm going to bite his thumbs off if he comes near my ship again."

If I only had a brain...

Frank waggles his digitless hands into the vidscreen, signifying "HA! I bit them off myself. Sucks to be you!"

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

That's me. I've been wiped all over the board at Whedonesque. I'm unsure if they're calling me one of the craxies.

No one noticed that I disliked Serenity.

No, see, I am a bad person for saying some Browncoats, they are craxy.

The response in general was, "Trekkies are craxy, TOO!"

And so, that negates my post. I think.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

It totally negates your post---in CRAXYLAND.
