I don't know, but it was my starred TiVo promo this morning.

Punishingly Intricate

There's a really sweet, non-spoilery interview with Sean Maher at TVGuide online today.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Today I wore my new shiny shirt with the Serenity logo on it to work. My friend M has steadfastly refused to watch Firefly, because she didn't like the first five minutes of the pilot. I continued to nag, of course. She came up to me just now, saying, I saw a trailer for a movie, and it looks really good, and it has that guy in it from that show, and it was called... uh.. what was it... I pointed dramatically to my emblazoned bosom. "How can you miss this huge bullseye on my chest?" She started laughing, and agreed that she would probably see the movie, and might even watch the DVDs, once she's finished with Wonderfalls.

Note to journalists: "Serenity now" has been done. Please try a little creativity.

I'm still waiting for the inevitable "Serenity prayer" joke.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Sadly, I missed a toaster opportunity last weekend at a bachelorette party full of Buffy fans. None of them had ever heard of Firefly. Curse my neighbor for being slow returning my DVDs! But I did talk up the movie, and was excited and surprised to stumble on a 'sci fi fashion' feature in InStyle Magazine, of all things. It had a 2 pg spread on Serenity with a picture of the cast. I showed it around to everyone.

Google tells me (since I was too tipsy to recall) that it's the 9/05 issue, an article titled "25 Century Fashion: are you ready for it?" Also talked about Aeon Flux, among others.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Curse you, TV Guide! Now I'm going to have to watch an episode of that craptacular Ghost Whisperer show!

"When I look at people that I would like to feel have been a mentor or an inspiring kind of archetype of what I'd love to see my career eventually be mentioned as a footnote for in the same paragraph, it would be, like, Bowie." ~Trent Reznor

TVGuide.com: OK, but the costumes had to be a bit nicer, yes? Better-quality cotton?
Maher: The costumes were a little different. They did a different take on me — I didn't have to wear any vests this time around, which I was happy about!
Apparently he was less gungho about that getup than we were.
