I just said that you're pretty. Even when you're covered in...engine grease, you're... No, especially, especially when you're covered in engine grease.

Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Wired coverage of DragonCon: [link]

Hundreds flocked to a panel about Joss Whedon's lamentably canceled show Firefly, where a fan begged Ron Glass, who plays Shepherd Book in the series, to speculate about his mysterious character's back story. "I'd say he was a ballet master," Glass joked.

That's about all the Firefly stuff they mentioned.

Also,

At about 3 a.m. Sunday, Eric "Qenatlh" Koske shared "the most common Klingon joke."

"Is a Klingon warrior red?" he boomed. "No! He is green!" Suddenly this reporter was surrounded by laughing Klingons. "It's hard to explain to humans why that's funny," one said, raising his flagon of blood wine and drinking.

I don't get it.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I really need to know why a Klingon warrior is green, now.

Maybe they bleed green?

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Is it because they are covered by Vulcan or Romulan blood?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

There were four Firefly panels at DragonCon, one each day. Adam Baldwin had to leave before the Monday panel, but otherwise, everyone was at each panel.

I got into the Friday panel by standing in a long line for a while. Everything Firefly-related was always packed, and the lines for autographs were so long that they had to move them outside the building and send people in by twos and threes.

No, Klingons bleed red in class M planet atmospheres. It's gotta be something else.

I'm even more of a geek than I realized.

In retrospect, I think I'm just as glad I didn't make it to Dragon*Con. I forgot just how big that con is. I hate crowds.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

No, Klingons bleed red in class M planet atmospheres.

I thought they bled purple?

Is it because they are covered by Vulcan or Romulan blood?

I'm guessing Romulan blood, but it might have something to do with the Klingon language instead.
