Your tag here.

At what point did it get established the guy's a psychologist?

Well, as far as the psychologist bit goes, for me it's 1) the "case study film" feel of the piece 2) white coat 3) pen and paper 4) two chairs at an interview-y table.

Same question as regards the psychicness.

Regarding the psychicness? I guess I may be reading a bit too much into it there, 'cause, you know, River. It does seem like he's struggling against an unseen force however.

Blood seems to suggest his convulsing's the result of something sharp goin' in his torso.

It appears from the film that he pulls his pen out of his neck or torso.

Edit: Also note River's bloody hand.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

It's not blood on Rivers hand, it is chocolate.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

River had just killed an Oompa Loompa.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Light. Light is good. Light enables you to see things.

Without light, all is emptiness. Or Radio, which is like emptiness.

Hee hee hee. Ah, Joss. That looks like something I want to get, Kevin. Thanks.

I may have to seize the cat.

Somebody on a board somewhere (I'm too lazy to go back and look it up) posited that they thought the psychologist was Nathan. Maybe I'm susceptible to suggestion, but on second and third viewings, it may well be. The physical build seems about right and some of the grunting is reminiscent of War Stories.

It does sound like him. I heard a lot of people saying it looked like Joss, which seemed like wishful thinking to me - that guy wasn't shaped like Joss in any way, especially his head.

He does have a wedding ring on, though. I think, if it's anyone we've ever heard of, it might be Chris Buchanan.

I don't know if this has been answered, but does anyone know how Firefly is doing on the SciFi Channel?

Something they just changed on their website (or else I just noticed it) - on their front page (where they have links to the shows they produce) they've added the heading "More Hot Shows", where Firefly is listed (with a link to their Firefly page).

According to TWoP, ratings seem to being going up, a tenth of a point at a time or so.

Art Crawl!!!

That's good news.

They made Summer look like Morena almost in that glamour shot. (I guess it's just the way in which being very made-up makes everyone look fairly similar.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I guess it's just the way in which being very made-up makes everyone look fairly similar.

I think it's more about being homogenously made up. There's no reason you have to remove individuality or give everyone the same look.
