Jayne: That's a good idea. Good idea. Tell us where the stuff's at so I can shoot you. Mal: Point of interest? Offering to shoot us might not work so well as an incentive as you might imagine.

The evil is this way?

Yes, but remember to share with the rest of the class.

She can have my share as long as I get a cut of Sean.

If wishes were horses we'd all be eating steak.

We still handing out toasters now that it is airing on SciFi? Cause I totally just hooked two new viewers with my DVDs.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Toasters for some, small Alliance flags for everyone.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I thought of all our toasters while watching last Friday's BSG, when Lee (I think) says, "Let's go toaster shopping," as they go off hunting Cylons. (Barely spoilery at all for the episode.)

(The crew of the Galactica sometimes refer to Cylons as "toasters" - at one point in the miniseries Baltar refers to the original Cylons as "walking chrome toasters.")

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

It will have its Internet premiere shortly thereafter

Well, that's optimistic.

They're leaving off the "whereupon the host site will be crashed almost immediately by too many connections" part as understood.

I was thinking more along the lines of the "thereafter" bit, but you've got a good point too.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Hah. Got my dad good and hooked on Firefly through last Friday's SciFi airing. I thought it would be the scifi western combo that would bring him in, and he did like that part. But his main critical comment was, "Good lord that's a lot of pretty women in space!"

And, well, that's true. I'm pretty sure Kaylee's his dream girl (a pretty woman with curves who likes machines).

He's now trying to figure out how to get the sound on his pc to work properly so he can play my dvds.
