Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Serenity part II is. (They split the pilot in half, which is no biggie as Joss made it knowing that would happen (he planned a good place to do it - when Mal goes "Huh."))

I think they're showing Part I at 6p and Part II at 7p this Friday.

ETA: Yep - [link]

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

That's what my guide is showing too.

Yeah, except the bits chopped off by the fullscreen and the wonky cuts to commercial.

Oh. I thought you were right, tommyrot. I didn't realize that they would reshow the first half of the pilot at 6 (which is cool and it wouldn't hurt them to advertise that during the week) until JenP mentioned it.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I have DVDs, so I'm not too worried by chops to the SciFi airings. It just means more potential new viewers and ticket buyers for the Big Damn Movie.

I am Matt in this. Thrilled that it's on the TV again and happy for the lucky new people who happen upon it.

Did I read right that they're going to show the movie trailer during the airing next week? Or this week. Friday.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I too am thrilled that it's on the air and hope that thousands of new fans are created. I'm just a purist snob, I suppose.

Yes, I saw a commercial during the airing of Serenity, Part 1 that the movie trailer is going to debut this Friday on the SciFi Channel.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Now this is the way to advertise. Fox, are you dunderheads paying attention??

(No.)
