Totally good thing. New converts.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Frell. It was *so* very pretty. I knew that but the heat made me woozy and forgetful.

I like new converts. Especially since one of them is a darling ex's wife. The first day I met her, I ended up dragging her here and showing her Serenity 1 & 2 and then the commentaries. I think it was a test, in retrospect, but she passed.

Heh, yay for her, and a toaster for you.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Alas, my one Buffy/Angel/Wonderfalls watching friend did not like Firefly. No toaster for me.

And then she turned two. No zealot like a convert...

I'm not digging the pan-and-scan since I have seen it otherwise, but man it is good to see the show again. I have the theme on my iPod and it always makes me smile. Hearing it on tv is better.

edit: We went through the Wonderfalls dvds too. She loved them. He chose well.

How's Firefly doing on the Left Coast?

So fucking amazing. I forget how good the show was. And, frankly, how bitter I am after watching them in order. The character introductions actually introduce characters...

Oh! Strawberries.

Hee: scifi.com's Firefly board is going wonky... giving MySQL errors saying "too many connections".

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Yeah, the weird cuts to commercial are extremely jarring, both due to my familiarity with the episodes and the fact they make the pacing all wonky.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I agree on the cuts.

But you know, every time the ship's aft end fires up and that pretty golden cgi veils and wafts and shimmers, with the three-note-and-a-pause music before she moves out? It still makes me catch my breath. So.Pretty.

Damn, everybody did such great work on this show.

And yeah, I thought I'd lose it when the Grrr Arghh guy went across the screen at the end. Took me by surprise. I've missed you, dude!
