That's beautiful. Or taken literally, incredibly gross.

Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

Oh, heh. I didn't even realize they were for Serenity. I assumed they were for different movies. Which is good, because I don't remember the names. That worked nicely. Oh. Except now I want to hear them. Damn.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Finally got my comic book! It's great: the story is good, and the art is excellent. Of course I got all three covers... I only read the Inara one; the other two remain bagged and boarded, because I'm like that.

By the way, regarding the name Inara, I believe it's the name of an ancient Far Eastern fertility goddess. I looked it up way back when, and now I can't remember where I found the info.

According to nameandfame.org, Inara is a Hittite name: [link]

Other sites indicate that she's an Indian or Hindu goddess of rice or rain/lightning. Each would tie in pretty well with the fertility thing.

All this time, I thought Hunter was a bitch. Turns out she was just hungry.

Who else just read P-C's post and thought "MANSQUITO!!!" ?

Just me?

Nope. Me too.

"HEY... MANSQUITO!!!"

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

"HEY... MANSQUITO!!!"

Is that to the tune of Macarena?

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Wolfram has been making me laugh all day with his funninessitude.

I have some cream for it, but it just won't go away.

I finally got my new issue of Entertainment Weekly, and in the TV day-by-day highlights section, this Friday's featured entry is:

Firefly: Although it may be hard to envision a future where horses and spaceships seamlessly coexist, Buffy creator Joss Whedon's space Western did just that. The short-lived series starring Nathan Fillion as Capt. Mal Reynolds rides again, including three episodes that never aired during its original run on Fox, which is bound to make the show's devoted fans happier than a ranch hand on payday. As a bonus, the rebroadcast leads into the Sept. 30 theatrical release of Serenity, a full-length feature film--with the original cast intact--based on the show. Saddle up! A-

Accompanying the entry is a wonderful picture of Capt. Tightpants himself.
