Katie Stuart is Kitty Pryde.
Firefly 4: Also, we can kill you with our brains
Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.
I wish he'd said Jewel Staite had read for it.
Now this I could totally get behind. I won't be upset if Summer gets it, but I don't get a "Yes, that's brilliant" feeling about it. Though, honestly, I'd imagine the movie is going to feature classic, teenage Kitty which doesn't match up so well with Jewel in my mind.
Yes. I can't think of anyone for Teenage Kitty. (except tralf, and I don't think she's got an agent or anything)
ita, Katie was Kitty in X2, and Sumela Kay played her in X-Men. I have to say, we didn't see either of them long enough to convince me she was "the one."
Summer would be a fine Kitty Pryde. But a different one. I hope if they've got Colossus in it that they bring back the guy from X2. He was perfect.
Anyway. Firefly. Good show. Love it.
How do I get my sister to watch it? I'm thinking of tying her down and holding her eyes open a la Clockwork Orange. But not.
Katie was Kitty in X2
Oh, I know. I wasn't pulling the name out of nowhere. She wasn't in it for long, but I watched in The Crow: Stairway to Heaven and she was great. I have a distinct fondness for her.
Just as long as we don't end up with Bledel.

Sorry. I didn't realize you meant she is Kitty, I thought you meant "iMDB says so."
Now Nikki Reed as Kitty Pryde, that could be interesting.

Meh. I'd rather see Evan Rachel Wood, as I said over in Movies.
Serenity needs to get here faster, in other news. I'm ready.
Been ready. Missed my one shot of preview. Want the movie yesterday. Ok, not yesterday, because then I would have missed it, but tomorrow or next week would be good. Alas, I shall wait.
A positive review of Serenity from someone who didn't like the DVD set. No spoilers. [link]
"Whedon's big-screen directorial debut is smart, funny, assured and just plain good. What's more, it makes Star Wars look like vacant, plastic eye candy in comparison."
Sniff.
Verklempt now.
