They should film that story and show it every Christmas.

Firefly 4: Also, we can kill you with our brains

Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Also, from what I hear, the deal with Universal committed to no new show (either absolutely, or not for a set period). Even if the movie's successful, it's not going to roll right back into tv show production.

I may have to seize the cat.

I am operating on the assumption that Sci Fi paid for syndication, whereas Fox owns all first-run rights. But even so, I thought there was some deal with Universal where there can be no new show for some period of time (5 yrs?) in case they want to make more movies.

Might need bugmenot if it requires registration, etc.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Saw the Serenity trailer last night for the first time (I am slow). The trailer, as trailers should, showed all the best parts of the movie while keeping mum about the not-best parts. If I hadn't already seen the movie, I would have been pretty well intrigued to see it.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

Popping in to ask: Does Tim have any involvement with the movie?

I think I've earned my first Firefly toaster -- I've got my about-to-turn 65 mom watching the DVDs. (She's already a huge Buffy and Angel fan -- watches them in syndication, and on DVD, and quotes them from memory.) So far we've only made it through the first disc, so we've only watched Serenity, The Train Job, and Bushwhacked. She really likes Zoe, is relieved to see that Mal is not as hard and unlikable as he first appeared in Serenity, and is looking forward to River being a bit more functional.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Popping in to ask: Does Tim have any involvement with the movie?

Nope.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Does Tim have any involvement with the movie?

He's seen it. Does that count?

Is there a deep, dark reason behind that, or is he just too busy on all his other projects?

Or should I just not ask?

I think the reason was called, "Wonderfalls."
