Jayne: What're you gonna tell the others? Mal: About what? Jayne: About why I'm dead. Mal: Hadn't thought about it. Jayne: Make something up. Don't tell 'em what I did.

Discussion of the Mutant Enemy series, Firefly, the ensuing movie Serenity, and other projects in that universe. Like the other show threads, anything broadcast in the US is fine; spoilers are verboten and will be deleted if found.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Ah. So I should think on that tonight.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

And able to kill you with its brain.

They are scary scary things.

Charlie made up a tv playlist all on his own. First I heard "C'mon, C'mon" and I thought, "Hey! 'Rescue Me'!" Then he played "We Used to Be Friends," and I thought "Hey! Veronica Mars!" Then he played "Superman" and I thought "Hey! Scrub....Hey!?!"

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

They are scary. Last night, mine (Connor didn't stick) played the Russian and English versions of the same song by tatu consecutively. They're on different albums.

If you lose it it will come back as a 80 GB video iPod, but it might try to kill you.

Heh.

My iPod has arrived and is nameless at the moment.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Okay, people. I'm going to see the movie tomorrow. I also have not yet watched the unaired episodes, though I *do* have them on my laptop.

So. People who have seen the movie: of the unaired episodes, is there one in particular you'd recommend that I ought to watch before I see the movie?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

is there one in particular you'd recommend that I ought to watch before I see the movie?

Serenity (the pilot) because it sets up all the relationships.

or, Out of Gas because it's so good (and nonWesterny) and also does some backstory.

or, Objects In Space because it's so good (and nonWesterny) and establishes a few things that are useful for getting the movie.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Unaired.

(I'm in the same boat.)

Adrian Pasdar: bringing hot (and ambiguously gay) to a new level since Top Gun.

Of the unaireds, Heart of Gold has the most "arc"-y plot. Trash, is, however, quite argueably, the best of the three.
